Being a parent is wonderful but can be extremely tiring and a bit of an emotional rollercoaster.

Here are some ideas which may help you in the early days as you start out on your great new expedition:

Find joy in the journey

Every day will be different, it may not seem like it at the time, but there will be little changes in each new day. One cannot think well, love well, sleep well, if one has not dined well. -Virginia Woolf

Feed yourself as well as your baby

In the early days you may feel like you’ve lost your appetite. You need to be eating small regular meals particularly iron rich where possible.

Try a bit of PMC

Calm yourself with Carbohydrates
